The Kodiak boot brand was an iconic Canadian symbol worn by generations of industrial workers and hipsters alike. While still a broadly known brand, Kodiak was not necessarily as revered as it was famous. More commodity than crusader, Kodiak needed to reinvigorate its mojo.

Leverage the Centennial Event

Product and brand research, supported by the client’s knowledge of Kodiak’s history, revealed the company was due for an important celebration: 100 years in business. In addition, R & D in the company was exploring a line extension into lifestyle footwear. We all saw the opportunity to leverage the centennial event to launch the new product line.

Innovate with a Lifestyle Collection

Kodiak Lifestyle footwear was born along with a full suite of branded materials for Kodiak’s centennial year. The simple tagline - “Since 1910” – was a claim few companies worldwide could make. Kodiak did it with style to reinvigorate the brand - and jump start their new lifestyle collection, which was a rousing success.
